PET FOOD BANK.

Opened in 2015, the Palm Springs Animal Shelter’s Pet Food Bank provides thousands of pounds of pet food each year to pet owners in need within the Coachella Valley. Our mission is to help pet owners keep their pets during times of uncertainty and also reduce the number of animals being surrendered to our Shelter.

The Pet Food Bank currently partners with the Mizell Center’s “Meals on Wheels” Program. If you are a client, please contact them to be added to their program.

Our Pet Food Bank program provides dog and cat food to help you nourish your pets during a time of need. Our supplies and food brands will fluctuate but we only provide food from unopened bags/cans that are not expired.

A few conditions to be considered:
1) All animals in the household should be either spayed or neutered.
2) We can provide food for up to 3 pets per household.
3) After your application is reviewed, we will provide food every 30 days by appointment. You may however need to supplement the food we provide.
4) Our service is meant to provide assistance for a limited amount of time.

Our ability to provide food to the pets of people in need is due directly to the kindness of our donors and friends! Donations of both kibble and canned pet food can be dropped off at our shelter during business hours.

Monetary Donations are always welcome and can be made ONLINE or mailed to our Shelter address.
