SAMMY'S CIRCLE.
Grief comes in many forms and is very personal.
The loss of a pet can be particularly devastating for those of us who have deep bonds with our beloved furry, scaled or feathered family members.
Sammy’s Circle is a safe place to share our grief and to share the stories of our beloved pets, both those who have recently left us, as well as those whose memories have long lingered in our hearts.
With our doors and hearts open wide, Sammy’s Circle is a welcoming place for the public, shelter staff and volunteers who have lost an animal whom they loved, whether it was their own pet or a foster or shelter animal who captured their heart.
Talking with others who understand the pain and loss can help us heal. Sammy’s Circle is a place of healing and hope for anyone who has lost a beloved animal.
We meet the first Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 11:00 am and the third Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Community Room at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
