FOSTER.
Foster guardians are special humans with compassionate souls who open their hearts and homes to animals in need. Foster guardians provide love and care to animals on a temporary basis – sometimes just for a few days, sometimes a few months – depending on the needs of the animal. Foster homes truly are an extension of Palm Springs Animal Shelter.
Foster guardians help us ensure that every animal gets a successful start before adoption.
Some areas where fosters are needed:
- Neonatal (newborn) animals – bottle feeding
- Weaned animals who are too young for adoption
- Hospice care for elderly or dying animals
- Medical recovery for animals after treatment
- Socialization fosters for animals that need human interaction
